Does anyone know where I can go in London to find good vintage shops?

Hey, so lately I've become quite interested in vintage fashion.
I have seen lots of fashion sites on the internet but the clothes are only ever said to be 'vintage', and the shop names are never given.
So, I was wondering if anyone knew any good vintage stores in and around London.
If you could give me the name & the nearest tube station that would be appreciated.

Does anyone know of any fabric /textile auctions or vintage clothing auctions that take place in the UK? I am especially interested in any in Hampshire or London.

I'm staying at my boyfriends parents in London and never been there. Other than Camden Market, where can I find a nice coat,boots,jeans, vintage bag similar style to the shops mentioned here. Also, please name good Vintage shops. I like clothes from Top Shop, Urban Outfitters and Vintage style clothes.
Not too expensive, but it's London, I know!!

I really love vintage eclectic style, and seeing as I'm on a students budget I'm thinking about vintage. I don't like buying clothes online as I prefer to try them on, and I live in Kent so a train to London is only around £6 and 40 minutes journey. The thing is I'm a size 16. I'm thinking most vintage shops don't do that much stuff in that size?

Also what are typical prices for things like dresses? I mean is it going to be £40 for a nice dress, or cheaper?

Any advice on styles and things to put together? I'm sick of buying all my clothes from New Look and Dorothy Perkins and being safe and ending up wearing the same thing as everyone else. I've decided I want to get some really stylish stuff.

love vintage clothing and would love to have a rumage through the little boutiques there is only one that i know of in my area (portsmouth) they seem to be all london way anyone know any more localy or any good websites or fairs. particulary 60's dresses. thanks
