sometimes it’s relevant to music interest. i dress vintage (1950′s) becasue it’s a style pertaining to psychobilly music.
vintage is so classy!
Many reasons. My wife and I like to do that on weekends because we’re Civil War re-enactors (American Civil War). We have ancestors who participated directly in that conflict, and it profoundly affected the lives of every American alive at the time – and affected your life as well as ours. We commemorate their lives and the ideals for which they struggled. We help teach others about the era and why it matters. And it’s just plain fun to boot! I’m sure others who dress in yester-year’s fashions have a variety of reasons. Why don’t ya ask when ya see someone dressed like that? Most will be happy to explain – and those who get grouchy – don’t sweat ‘em.

Personally, vintage is my style. I wear high waist skirts & tuck in all my shirts. I do it because I think it looks fun & different & shows my personality not because anyone told me to.
